There are 2 options for Floorboards Polishing.
Option 1: Floorboards polishing with light buffer to remove top warn out and tired layer, hand held orbital to remove deep lines and scratches, cleaning with water-based or urethane products and sealing with either Wax, Oil or varnish.
If your floorboards are in fairly good condition, but need revamping and a quick face lift, buffing and polishing process will be sufficient enough to give it a good finish. We usually polish the floors using silk screen grit one hundred, to skim off the dirty and warn out top layer, then follow it with a second pass of buffing and polishing using silk screen 120 grit for a good surface preparation appropriate for applying either oil or varnish. A good check up for any scratches or lines, so that they are removed with various hand held tools, gaps filled with Bona past and rubbed off.
Option 2: Floorboards Polishing Sanding
Floorboards that are in poor condition or rough state, sanding is the best option for delivering a good job, view these links to find out more “Floorboard Sanding” and “Floor Sanding Process”. This usually refers to sanding with a drum sander machine, using abrasive belts of various grits for different stages of sanding. Once this process is completed, the floors can either be stained with light, medium or dark Oak stains, then sealed with a choice of either oil or varnish. We always use good quality materials to ensure durability and natural look.
